What kinds of calendars are there
There are three types of calendars: lunar calendar, solar calendar, and lunar calendar.
1. The lunar calendar is one of China’s traditional calendars and the first annual calendar in ancient countries. The calendar set based on the apparent movement of the moon is called the “Tai Lunar Calendar”, also known as the “Lunar Calendar”, “Yin Calendar”, “Old Calendar”, “Yellow Calendar”, “Xia Calendar” and “Old Calendar”.
The lunar calendar in the true sense is the Islamic calendar (Hijri). That is, the twelve lunar months constitute a year, regardless of seasonal changes. The lunar calendar is mainly used to guide their religious festivals and so on.
2. The solar calendar is a calendar based on the period of the earth’s revolution around the sun, also known as the solar calendar. The solar calendar is based on the operating cycle of the sun’s direct rays. The average calendar year is a tropical year. There are two calendar years, one is a normal year and the other is a leap year. The difference between a leap year and a peaceful year is only one day.
The Gregorian calendar used in the world is one of the most familiar solar calendars. This calendar is soaked in the civilization created by mankind over thousands of years. It was learned by the ancient Romans from the Egyptians and spread to all over the world with the expansion of the Roman Empire and the rise of Christianity.
3. Lunar calendar refers to a calendar in astronomy that takes into account the relationship between the sun, the moon and the earth. The English scientific name is lunisolar calendar. The lunar-solar calendar uses the moon to revolve around the earth as one month, but the setting of a leap month makes the average number of days in a year coincide with the number of days in the tropical year. Therefore, this calendar is consistent with the moon and the earth’s periodic motion around the sun.
